What Is DevCamp

MentorMate DevCamp is a 4-month training program designed to provide tutoring on Data Management & Analytics/Cloud & DevOps/Automation QA for young talents so that they can launch their careers as Data & BI Developers, Cloud & DevOps Engineers, or Automation QAs. During the program, you’ll receive both theoretical knowledge and practical assignments. You’ll be mentored by MentorMate’s highly qualified Data, Cloud, and QA experts, and you’ll get to work with some of the most intelligent and motivated fellows.

Phase 1
Introduction

In the first two months of the DevCamp program, you’ll learn the basics of Data Engineering/Cloud & DevOps/Automation QA, go through extensive soft skills training, and meet your team and the mentor who will guide you throughout the program. This introductory period will provide you with an overview of MentorMate’s work approach and prepare you to become a part of our delivery teams.

REAL PROJECTS

During the second phase of your DevCamp experience, you’ll work on world-class projects for some of the largest global companies in sectors such as healthcare, finance, insurance, and more. Depending on the client and your career interests, you’ll focus on different tools and technologies: Data Science (Python, Scala, SQL, ETL, Apache Spark, Databricks, Data Warehouse, Power BI)/Cloud & DevOps (AWS/Azure, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Bash/PowerShell)/Automation QA (Gherkin, Cucumber, Selenium, Rest Assured, Java).

BECOMING AN EXPERT

By the time you reach the third phase, you’ll have substantial Data Engineering/Cloud & DevOps Engineering/Automation QA experience, and you’ll have the opportunity to grow your expertise further. More than 60% of DevCamp graduates receive an offer for permanent employment at MentorMate. By joining the company, you’ll have the opportunity to work on world-class projects side by side with some of the most intelligent software professionals.

The first edition of DevCamp took place in 2019. Since then, there have been three more DevCamp programs; most conducted entirely online. Since the first DevCamp, interest in the program has continued to grow, and so has the number of applicants. Our statistics show that DevCamp is highly competitive, as the hired participants of our previous full-stack programs are among the best from the top 3% of software development talent in the country.

You Need To Have

Strong analytical skills and a basic understanding of Data/Cloud/Automation QA technologies and tools
Basic knowledge of at least one programming or scripting language/Linux OS, and Networking depending on your career preference
Passion for learning and desire to work with diverse technologies
Good communication and teamwork skills and the ability to take ownership of your work
Excellent English skills, allowing you to communicate with clients on a daily basis
Proactive approach and ability to ask questions and go beyond what’s expected
