What is DevCamp

MentorMate DevCamp is a 4-month training program designed to provide tutoring on a diversity of web and mobile technologies for young talents so that they can launch their careers as Full-Stack Developers, Mobile Developers, or Automation QAs. During the program, you will receive both theoretical knowledge and practical assignments. You’ll be mentored by MentorMate’s highly qualified software experts, and you’ll get to work with some of the most intelligent and motivated fellows, as only the top 3% of software development talent in Bulgaria enters the program.

Phase 1
Introduction

In the first month of the DevCamp program, you will learn the basics of software development and go through extensive soft skills trainings. This introductory period will provide you with an overview of MentorMate’s software development approach and prepare you to become a part of our delivery teams.

REAL PROJECTS

During the second phase of your DevCamp experience, you will meet your team and the mentor who will guide you throughout the program. You will work on world-class projects for some of the largest global companies in sectors such as healthcare, finance, insurance, and more. Depending on the client and your career interests, you’ll focus on different programming languages and technologies: Web (.NET, Java, Python, JavaScript with Vue.js, React, Angular, Node.js, or CMS) and data analytics technologies, Mobile (iOS, Android, React Native), or Automation QA (Groovy, Gherkin, Cucumber, Selenium, Rest Assured, RestSharp).

BECOME A SOFTWARE EXPERT

By the time you reach the third phase, you will have substantial software development or software testing experience, and you will have the opportunity to grow your expertise further. More than 60% of DevCamp graduates receive an offer for permanent employment at MentorMate. The first edition of DevCamp took place in 2019. Since then, there have been three more DevCamp programs, all conducted entirely online. Since the first DevCamp, interest in the program has continued to grow, and so has the number of applicants. Our statistics show that DevCamp is highly competitive, as the hired participants are among the best from the top 3% of software development talent in the country.

Application Process

Our goal is to find the best among the best young talents in the country. After applying, you’ll receive a link with your assessment via email. You can use one of the following programming languages for the technical assessment: C, C++, C#, Go, Java, PHP, Python, Python3, Ruby, JavaScript, TypeScript, Dart, Kotlin, Swift. You will have 5 days to complete the assessment after applying. Once you pass, you’ll be invited for a short online interview in English. The best of you will be invited to start the program on 01.02.2022.
